I have found that what we avoid and push away follows us and shows up in new forms. I work with you to see what are the things (external and internal) getting in your way to being and having the kind of life you want; and then working with you to reduce those forces to free you in the direction of your goals.
I am primarily a systems oriented therapist, with a background in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy also. This is an experiential approach that utilizes concrete examples of what is happening in one’s life and in the session, to facilitate the process of getting unstuck from the old habits and behaviors that are no longer serving you.

The Guest House - Rumi
This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out
for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
