How
I work
I have
found that what we avoid and push away follows us and shows up
in new forms. I work with you to see what
are the things (external and internal) getting
in your way to being and having the kind of life you want; and then working
with you to reduce those forces to free you in the direction
of your goals.
I am
primarily a systems oriented therapist, with a background in psychodynamic
and cognitive-behavioral
therapy also. This is an experiential approach that utilizes concrete examples
of what is happening in one’s life and in the session, to facilitate
the process of getting unstuck from the old habits and behaviors that are
no longer
serving you.
I love
working with adults, couples, families and groups. I specialize
with eating disorders, anxiety and relationship difficulties.
I also lead
groups
at Kaiser
Oakland on: overcoming depression; managing your anxiety; overcoming
overeating; and couples’ communication.
